Hey, I’m Danny – a full-time travel consultant and part-time adventurer! I've been lucky enough to explore a huge chunk of the world, from backpacking through the buzzing streets of India to taking in the jaw-dropping views on escorted tours in Peru. If there’s a place with a story to tell, chances are it’s already on my list – or I’ve been there and have one to share!

I first caught the travel bug on a Youth Training Scheme – one day a week studying at Aston University, the rest spent working in a travel agency. I was hooked from day one.

Back then, bookings were made through Teletext (a throwback!), and I worked with agencies that were part of the Apollo Travel Group. I moved on to Orchid Travel at Five Ways – while they had a shop front, I was usually upstairs sorting admin and turning holiday dreams into reality from a sea of Teletext adverts.

Since then, I’ve dipped my toes in just about every corner of the travel world – from high street agencies to call centres, and even companies selling flights to time-share owners. I joined Thomson Holidays to assist customers in booking trips from the classic holiday brochures, and later worked across various Midlands Co-Op Travel branches.

At one point, I landed a job in the Maldives (yes, really!) – but plans changed after the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004. That led me to American Express, where I arranged business travel for clients at Birmingham University and later in the city centre.

Eventually, I took a break from travel to run my family’s fire protection business – a chapter that lasted 19 years. But now, I’m thrilled to be back in the industry I love, helping people plan adventures, make memories, and get genuinely excited about their holidays.

Let’s just say – I’ve been around the travel block (and loved every minute of it)!
