A holiday in Cuba has it all - white sandy beaches, breathtaking scenery, magnificent architecture, a rich cultural heritage and Havana! Yet it remains one of the most unspoilt and undeveloped of all Caribbean holiday islands.

Only recently have tourists begun to discover Cuba as a holiday destination, hence it remains largely unspoilt and undeveloped, evoking a feeling of timelessness and exploration.

The Cubans themselves are friendly and welcoming and it isn't unusual to be invited to their homes, perhaps for dinner, or just so they can show you how and where they live.

When it comes to beaches, you'll find hundreds of miles of fine white sands where you can sample all manner of water sports. Snorkellers and divers in particular will relish the deep sea caves and fabulous coral reefs.

Inland Cuba, the scenery is lush and mountainous, where tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region. Whilst on holiday in Cuba visit Havana where trendy cafes and salsa nightspots contrast with grand colonial buildings to create a city of pure fascination.

Cuba Entry visa
A tourist card costing £15 is required for entry into Cuba (subject to change) which is normally included in the price of your holiday. Infants and children's details must also be entered. The entry card will be sent to you to fill in before you travel.

Climate in Cuba
Semi-tropical, average temperature 87 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat and humidity are cooled by pleasant, north easterly winds. More than 60% of the country's rain falls during the wet season (Jul - Oct).

Drinkable but bottled water recommended (available in hotels).

Food and Drink
Whilst Cuba is one of most fascinating destinations to visit on a holiday, the cuisine is not always as varied as other areas of the Caribbean. Menus reflect what is available locally and range from a basic variety of options to sometimes excellent, with seafood and chicken with black beans being amongst the 'must try' selections.

Exotic rum based cocktails are in abundance - be sure to sample the classic Mojito as well as the more familiar Daiquiri whilst on your holiday in Cuba.
